Import / Transit Requirements for Cats and Dogs into Mozambique
Age Of Animal
The animal has to be 3 months or older in order to travel to Mozambique, they have to have their own valid Rabies vaccination.
Microchip
Pets must be microchipped, the microchip must be either implanted before the Rabies vaccination or with the rabies vaccination.
Rabies Vaccinations

Normal Canine and Feline vaccinations
Annual canine and feline vaccinations are recommended. Kennel cough vaccinations and snuffles vaccinations for cats are also recommended, should your pet require boarding before or after they travel all reputable kennels would insist that you produce a valid vaccination certificate.
Health Certificate (Valid for 10 days)
The pets have to be accompanied by a health certificate issued by a private veterinarian within 10 days of travel, certifying compliance with the above requirements. After the private vet has completed the health check and signed the document, the Health Certificate must be stamped & signed by the SA State Vet authorities.

Import Permit
Required, the permit is valid for 60 days from the date of issue.
