Import / Transit Requirements for Cats and Dogs into Indonesia
Microchip
A microchip should be implanted before or at the same time of the rabies vaccination.
Please note the microchip that has been implanted must be able to be read by an ISO compatible reader.
Rabies Vaccinations
A valid rabies vaccination is required, the rabies vaccination has to be older than 30 days and not older than 1 year prior to departure.
Rabies Neutralizing Antibody Titre Test (RNATT)
At least 31 days following the date of the rabies vaccination, a blood sample was taken from the dog/cat and tested at Onderstepoort showing a rabies neutralizing antibody titre equal to or greater than 0.5 IU/ml. A valid original test report must accompany the pet.
Annual vaccinations
Annual feline and canine vaccinations has to be older than 30 days and not older than 1 year upon arrival.
Dogs: Canine Distemper, Canine Infectious Hepatitis, Canine Parvovirus, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, Bordetella (Kennel Cough).
Cats: Feline Calicivirus, Feline Rhinotracheitis Virus, Feline Panleukopenia Virus, Feline Chlamydia.
Health Certificate (Valid for 10 days)
The pets have to be accompanied by a health certificate issued by a private veterinarian certifying compliance with the above requirements and this Health Certificate must be stamped & signed by the SA State Vet. The Health certificate must be done within 2 days of travel.
All cats and dogs entering Indonesia are required to have external parasite treatments, administered by a registered veterinarian these treatments will be done with the health certificate.

Import Permit
An import permit is needed, you can either have Global Paws contact an agent on your behalf or apply for it yourself.
Quarantine
The rabies neutralizing antibody titre test will be redone upon arrival in quarantine. The quarantine period is 3 – 7 days, the quarantine has to be prearranged prior to travel.
