What to Expect

During your spinal adjustment session, our chiropractor will perform a thorough assessment to identify areas of misalignment.

What to Expect

Like a first date, you may be feeling a bit nervous and unsure what to expect on your first visit to Hawthorne Chiropractic. We understand this; that’s why we make it a priority to make you feel relaxed and right at home.

Our Chiropractic Assistant will welcome you and ask you to fill in some forms so we can get to know a little bit about you.

Then, you and Dr Armitage (Chiropractor) will have a consultation so he can get to know all about your specific problems. If Dr Armitage (Chiropractor) believes that chiropractic will be of help to you, then he, will perform a thorough physical examination.

From there, assuming Dr Armitage (Chiropractor) still believes chiropractic can help, he will recommend regular spinal adjustments or spinal X-rays to find out more about the condition of your spine.

Please allow 45 minutes – 1 hour for your first visit.

Now that we know a little bit about each other, it’s time to get down to the nitty gritty. If you’ve had x-rays taken, Dr Armitage (Chiropractor) will go through these with you. Together you will then discuss a tailored care plan based on your specific needs.

Following this, you’ll have your first adjustment. So that you continue to feel relaxed, Nicholas will explain what he is going to do before he does it and guide you gently through the process, step by step.

On your second visit please allow 30 – 45 minutes.
